The P&C is made up of multiple groups (or an executive and subcommittees). Join a group to stay in touch with the things you're interested in. You don't have to do anything if you're in a group. You can get involved as much or as little as you like.
Please note - groups below are on hold in 2020 - you can still take part - just email us!
The executive group supports the administration and operation of the P&C.
The fundraising group finds community and business grants that can bring funding to the school.
The events group helps organise all the great events that make our school community so fun.
The gardens group makes MPS a great physical space for our kids, for example Friends of the Garden and our recycling program.
If you're a member of the P&C you'll also be added to the members group. That gives you access to all the P&C docs.
Groups work as email lists: Sending a mail to the group (e.g. makers@mpspandc.org) will send your email to everyone in the group.
Groups also have a shared Google Drive. If you have a Google account you can work on shared files with other group members. You might want to do this to write up info on how to run an event, or work on a fundraising proposal, or write a newsletter.
Every group is open to members of the school community. The main rule is that everyone needs to be safe and respectful.
To join: click on the groups you want to join: communications | fundraising | events | gardens | makers This will allow you to send an email to the group asking to join. After a second confirmation mail, a request will get sent through to add you to the group.
To leave: At the bottom of each mail there's a link to unsubscribe. Click it and you're gone!
If you need to create a Google account, you can either create a GMail account or use an existing email address (it doesn't need to be a GMail one!). Once you have a Google account you can get yourself added to the groups you're interested in.
